March 8, 201313 yr Even though some of you are still under snow, we are drawing closer to spring and some nice weather with temperatures that will be nice to do some work in the shop. Last night I was able to round the corners on 12 cheese boards and one large edge grain board. Got all the edges rounded over and sanded to 120. I round the corners on my Oscillating belt sander. I do them till they look right to my eye. So what do you think? None of them were drawn out or measured just rounded them till they looked good. They are cut 6" x 6" and the large one on the bottom is 11" x 17". Stacked and align pretty good. I ordered a sheet of cherry plywood and it will be in Monday. I will get the pieces cut and milled this weekend for this project. A little under the gun on this one, but what else is new. It has to be ready and installed by the 22nd of this month. Like I have nothing else to do. The Cherry has been sitting in the shop a couple of weeks so it should be ready to start working tomorrow. So how about you all, What is on Your Woodworking Agenda for this weekend? Are you finishing up a project, working on four or five at a time, building something really nice for the shop, home improvement, plowing snow, or have you become a couch potato? We at TPW want to know what's happening in your shop. Show us progress pictures and for sure completed pictures. So jump in and share what you are working on, it just might inspire someone else to give it a try and push their woodworking skills up.

March 8, 201313 yr Good lookin projects, guys. Â Finish this weekend? As for me, I'm heading down to Macon, GA this weekend for a show. Â Temps supposed to be in the high 60s. Â Hope so. Â Only problem with this show is that there is NO Friday setup. Â AND the other thing is that this weekend the time changes. Â Up earlier on both days - yuck. Â Setup 6AM on Sat - show is over at 6PM. Â Sun 10AM to 5PM and then tear down. Â Two long days I think.Fredaka Pop's Shopwww.pops-shop.com'Soooooo many patterns - sooooo little time'Scroll Saw Forum Host
March 8, 201313 yr I'll be finishing this up this weekend and hopefully get it sold soon, as I am starting to scrape the bottom of the wallet. I need to get the scratch marks out of the box and then put a good finish on it, which will consist of crystal wax and canauba mixed with mineral oil. I still have other things to do as well and I will get to them if I have time I partly turned a bowl for a friend that will be next in line to be completed. That should pretty much eat the time for this weekend seeing as the nurses and docs are still trying to get me to take it easy. Have a great weekend all, and please be safe. March 8, 201313 yr Charles, Don't scrape the bottom of your wallet to hard, It'll end up like mine with a hole in it where the money just falls through. March 9, 201313 yr Larry my wife says the same thing and she says I have selective hearing. In my case my hearing is fine but I have a "To Do Filter" in my ear. The things I don't want to do never make it past the filter and never reaches my thought processor. No Ron it never ends my friend! March 11, 201313 yr Author So I got started milling the Cherry Legs for the Pulpit Sunday afternoon. They will be a final 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" and are solid, no glue ups. Also got all of my cheese boards and the large cutting board branded this weekend. So how do you guys do on your weekend projects?
