March 17, 201313 yr I found this tip today and it's a pretty cool and efficient way to store those hand saws & easy to make. http://www.woodworkingtips.com/etips/2009/05/14/ws/ www.thepatriotwoodworker.com Proud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops
March 17, 201313 yr That looks like something I should make. Don't have many hand saws but this would make getting to what I do have easier.Lew Kauffman-Wood Turners Forum HostTime traveler. Purveyor of the world's finest custom rolling pins!
March 17, 201313 yr Author Lewis I'm in the same situation, I have 5 hand saws but don't use them often but they sit flat on my counter top and I have been trying to come up with a storage solution when I found this one. Like you said it will make them easier to get to without taking up a lot of space.Lewis Kauffman said:That looks like something I should make. March 18, 201313 yr This is a great solution. I don't own many, but this would make space for other tools above my workbench. Plus a place to store the longer saws also. Thank you for sharing this.Wayne MahlerGod bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.
March 18, 201313 yr Now that is spectacular. So simple, how come we don't think things like this up?John MorrisThe Patriot WoodworkerProud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops and Wounded Warriors Project
March 18, 201313 yr I like it but that would probably be the part of the bench i put my hand up on to stop myself from falling forward and would slice myself up, lolBetter to mount a U shaped channel built like this ( IIII) under the benchtop and slide the saws in on their backs.
