March 22, 201313 yr It is our sincerest pleasure to welcome Michael Agate aboard the Forum Host Team for The Patriot Woodworker Woodworking Community! Photo Below: Michael Agate and his son Matthew (The Newfoundland Wood Worker) Michael will be heading up the Woodworking Plans and Software Forum. We are excited to have Michael aboard with us. He is well versed in the world of Sketchup which is being used widely by woodworkers today to create a project on the computer, generate a cut list before you even make the first cut, and to be able to see clearly any mistakes in the planning stages before those mistakes happen at the work bench. Michael has given classes on this great software tool for woodworkers and he plans to add more classes in the future. We first met Michael a couple months ago when his young son Matthew Agate donated money to Lt Timothy Fallon's workshop project we undertook. We were taking in donations for the Marine's shop and this young boy contributed. And from there we all became friends. Michael and Matthew run The Newfoundland Wood Worker. Check out this father and son duo at their Facebook Page. On top of being ardent supporters of our men and women who serve our nation, Michael's expertise and willing to help others in our art/craft is going to be a huge asset to our woodworking community here on The Patriot Woodworker. He brings a skill that is needed withing our forum, and we are thrilled to add this realm of woodworking to our site for our members and visitors alike. Some of Michael's handy work below and one of Michael's masterpieces in the working's now Yep you got it! Michael's going to be a brand new Dad again! Congratulations Michael!!! And congratulations to the entire Agate family. Now, I bet you can't do that on Sketchup right Michael!!! So there we go Patriot Woodworker's, lets give Michael a big welcome and a big thanks for volunteering his time with us, thank you Michael for answering the call, and here is to a great future! March 22, 201313 yr Thanks kindly everyone. It really is an honor to be a part of this wonderful site. With my father being a wounded Viet Nam Vet, I really take pleasure in being apart of the support and acknowledgement for our troops in which this site offers. Though I reside in Canada, I hold both US and Canadian DNA. I am very proud of the soldiers from these two great nations and what they do to keep terror from our door steps. Now it's just to worry about keeping the standards for the Woodworking Plans and Software Forum on par with the other great forums on here. Fingers crossed. I look forward to meeting everyone as time goes by. Kind Regards, Michael and Matthew Agate (Newfoundland Canada)
