Whych begs the questin  of how they did this before and without a band saw that tilts the body not the table while keeping the blade exactly where it started out on the table?



I believe the answer is the old school method of kerfing. They had  a thin  hand saw  ( I'd use a flush cut)  and  assembled the boards. Then they ran the  saw between the pieces through where the joint was to form. The saw created complimentary faces that come together very nicely.

That's a pretty cool looking saw & process. Thanks for posting!
