March 25, 201313 yr Here is a project I am working on. Its a hexagon shaped keepsake for my daughters 21st birthday in april. The sides are purpleheart and the edges are birds eye maple. The top is birds eye maple and I have inlayed a purpleheart shaped helmet. Inside the helmet I inlayed a birds eye maple horn. The detail for the helmet is etched and then filled with paint. Hoping to start the finish work on it tomorrow.

March 28, 201313 yr Don't feel obligated Robert, but if you have a free minute to take a couple of pics of the process, that would be awesome. I seen a pic somewhere of you routing out for the inlay with a dremal? Am I correct on this, or just my own mind. Roberts Wood Creations said:I have a butterfly keepsake to make soon, so I will try and put something together on that box.
