March 28, 201313 yr Here is a scroll saw portrait Matthew and I created for our friends over at Laguna. This is in great appreciation for all support. We need to make a nice frame. Created with a #2 spiral blade. Approx 10 hrs work. Size 19" x 15 1/2" hard to get a good pic of this due to its size. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OouopGkWhSI. Was a fun project and we were so very happy to make this for Laguna! We will be shipping it off to them in the very near future. Imagine, a 37" bandsaw. SWEET! Created this portrait on a 16" Excalibur. With a spiral blade, as it cuts in all directions, your 16" scroll saw can cut up to 32". Michael and Matthew Agate (Newfoundland Canada)Proud Supporter of The Patriot Woodworker and what this great site stands for!
March 28, 201313 yr Wow & Wow Michael. It's a beutiful piece of work for some great folks at Laguna. The look on Matthew's face is just a bit short of focused and intense. Thanks for sharing both with us!Ron DudelstonSite AdministratorAbove and Beyond WoodWorks
March 28, 201313 yr Author Ron, he was very cautious and focused. He didn't want any mistakes on his part, nor did I on my part. Thanks for the kind words. Ron Dudelston said:Wow & Wow Michael. It's a beutiful piece of work for some great folks at Laguna. The look on Matthew's face is just a bit short of focused and intense. Thanks for sharing both with us!Ron DudelstonSite AdministratorAbove and Beyond WoodWorks

April 15, 201313 yr Author John. Are you wondering if the photo to the right is the pattern or the actual scrolled portrait?
April 15, 201313 yr I was wondering the photo to the right is the pattern. That was my impression anyway. THanksMichael & Matthew Agate said:John. April 15, 201313 yr Author The photo to the right is the cut portrait. The pattern was on white paper. This is cut from 1/4" MDF. Just some black material laid in the back ground for temp to show the pic.John Morris said:I was wondering the photo to the right is the pattern. That was my impression anyway.
