I usually try to use this tool to create routed look on a table top. My typical problems are (a) I only get it to work on one or two edges- not the entire perimeter or (B). at the last corner there is a small section that that doesn't "connect".

This latest piece really helps me. I was trying to do a routed edge on the front face of the shot glass case. Couldn't get it to work with 45 degree bevel joints. Think this solution might work.
