A Long Overdue Thank You to Kathy Vance of Forest Improvement Services

Featured Replies

As you all know we were neck deep in our project to secure our Marine Lt Fallon a complete workshop up until the end of February. We did pretty good! Thanks to all our donors who participated. And we have also been very good about thanking all those who gave so generously.

Except for one lady by the name of Kathy Vance! I am horribly embarrassed Kathy that a formal thank you was not issued by now, I got caught up in life, and things, and for some reason your generous donation to Timothy just went over looked in the sense that we did not talk about it.

For our newest members, go to A Marine Blinded in Battle and His Quest to Get Back in the Shop.

Kathy took a drive up to see Lt Fallon, and with her she had a very nice supply of domestic osage orange, mulberry, cherry, ash, ambrosia maple, and walnut to get our veteran going in his new woodworking shop.

Kathy got to meet Timothy personally, they hung out for awhile and got to know each other and as Kathy puts it, they'll remain friends for a long time!

Here are a couple of pictures with Lt. Fallon and just a few boards of his new stash of lumber to get him started!

Kathy is a big troops supporter like us, and she just wants to help.

Photo below is Mrs. Vance of Forest Improvement Services. She is a wonderful lady, with a big heart,

For those who are not aware, Kathy's business specializes in forestry management and harvesting trees in a very responsible manner.

Kathy's team goes after trees in danger of disease, or felled by natural causes such as blow overs and storm damage. Leaving the healthy trees behind to flourish with the new room around them. This is my layman terminology and description of what Kathy and her logging operation do.

Kathy is also a member of The Patriot Woodworker and she has a Facebook Page. Kathy sells lumber too! I forgot to add that, she needs to eat folks! So if you're in the need of some great lumber harvested the way it was years ago, and still is today in some circles, please drop Kathy a line.

And from all of us here at The Patriot Woodworker to you Kathy, thank you so much for your support of our Marine during this operation, he and I have talked many times and he is just completely in awe of the beautiful lumber he has received from you. I know you know this, as he has thanked you personally when you were there. Thanks again Kathy for your never ending support of our wounded warriors who put it all on the line for us, protecting our freedoms and keeping us safe from the bad guys, thank you Kathy.

That's an awesome story! You, Kathy Vance and all the other givers really provide an amazing service for our returning men and women of the various branches of service. Thank you for all you do for then!

I must add my sincere "THANK YOU, Kathy"  It is folks like you that make our efforts that much more rewarding.
