As of 15 May 2013, I will no longer be in the Retired Reserve,  I will be RETIRED.    Found out that for that last 17 years, I have been "Stationed" at Ft. Knox, Ky.     ( Used to know THAT place like the back o'me 'and!)  

  Watched the movie "Stripes"   a few times, and noticed the Barracks they used were some of the ones I stayed in.    I was past that Bus stop they used.    Might have even used some of the "ranges"  that were in the movie.     One could look out the old wood barracks windows, and see all them tanks a parked across the street.    Short walk for tankers?    I guess because all they do is RIDE? 

Anyway, mailed in my "Packet" to the base.   They process it, and then "Transfer" me to a new Command Group.   I have a big, long web address to look up later today, to find out what the "pay" might be.

Might have a small party, next month??

 Due Sargent being the highest rank held  LONG enough to qualify for,   It will now read Sgt. Steven Newman Ret, USA.  

Now awaiting retirement from the Civilian side of things.   SSI wants me to wait until at least 62, and maybe 67?     NOT!  Might go later this year, as Uncle Sugar will make up the difference between the age groups.   Besides, I already have enough credits to retire, anyway.    Been working since before i was 15!
