The worst part was not having Judy there - can do without the others.

Above and Beyond WoodWorks

My wife and I spent all day saturday at a show Sunday afternoon I started gluing up stock for 20 more chopping blocks and 30 more cutting boards. Tonight after roto -tilling my garden I continued on with the glue -ups. I hope to have these completed by Friday.

Not too much in my shop this weekend Fred. With the torn rotator cuff, haven't been able to do much woodworking. I sure am getting behind though. Mostly picked up some lumber I had at the saw mill and got it stack in the barn to start the air drying process. My son and some of his friends did the work, I just watched. It was kind of fun just watching of a chance.

John Hechel, sounds like you have been really busy. Hope you shows are going good.

 I did get a desk completed, just a small oneand even worked on the bench a bit.    Added a jig to plane with, and added some "Leg restraints"  so the bench won't walk awayNuttin fancy, just some OSB and two screws per leg.    The jig has a cleat at each end, one to hold it in place, the top one is to hold a board in place.  Plywood for when a board is thinner than the stop cleat.

Spent the weekend, + a few days, in Tucson with my kid and his woman. Went to a whittling club while I was there. Learned a little about chip carving. Bought a knife and a book. 

Setting posts for bird baths and recommissioning mowers and weed whackers today. 

Threw some rocks at a Raven.

Just a normal day.
