Sorry, gang - have been out of pocket at a craft show this past weekend.  NO WIFI, NO TV, NO WIFE

The worst part was not having Judy there - can do without the others.

Anyhow - share with us what great and wonderful things happened in your shop over the weekend.  Obviously, nothing happened in MY shop.

Well Fred, I finished four keepsake boxes for summer shows.  2 oak, 1 walnut, 1 cherry.

My wife and I spent all day saturday at a show Sunday afternoon I started gluing up stock for 20 more chopping blocks and 30 more cutting boards. Tonight after roto -tilling my garden I continued on with the glue -ups. I hope to have these completed by Friday.

Fred, I finally got some quality time with my chair I have been working on for what seems years. It is coming down the home stretch and should be wrapped up this weekend!

Not too much in my shop this weekend Fred. With the torn rotator cuff, haven't been able to do much woodworking. I sure am getting behind though. Mostly picked up some lumber I had at the saw mill and got it stack in the barn to start the air drying process. My son and some of his friends did the work, I just watched. It was kind of fun just watching of a chance.

John Hechel, sounds like you have been really busy. Hope you shows are going good.

I did get a desk completed, just a small onening-sdc14924-14233-30.jpg?width=721and even worked on the bench a bit.    Added a jig to plane with, and added some "Leg restraints"  so the bench won't walk awayning-sdc14940-14233-73.jpg?width=721Nuttin fancy, just some OSB and two screws per leg.    The jig has a cleat at each end, one to hold it in place, the top one is to hold a board in place.  Plywood for when a board is thinner than the stop cleat.

Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...

Here's a pic of what I accomplished.

Nada!

Spent the weekend, + a few days, in Tucson with my kid and his woman. Went to a whittling club while I was there. Learned a little about chip carving. Bought a knife and a book.

Setting posts for bird baths and recommissioning mowers and weed whackers today.

Threw some rocks at a Raven.

Just a normal day.
