Not much for me this week. Trying to recover from a few days at the shore.


Mr. David Reed Smith released a more in-depth article on creating specialized chuck jaws for a Nova/Teknatool style lathe chuck. His articles are always well written and easy to follow. This particular update shows us how to create a drilling jig for hole alignment on your chuck- which is the most difficult part of creating specialized jaws.

In addition to the jig, Mr. Smith included a wide array of jaw types for many different applications. In my opinion, this is a must read for any turner.



Also, this week Craft Supplies USA posted a video on Power Sanding on the lathe. Their procedure used an air power sander but applies equally well to electric sanders. The 3 minute video can be viewed on You Tube at-
