April 29, 201313 yr Here is a spline cutting sled I built today. I saw a pic on the net and decided to make one for cutting splines on the graduation shadow box I am working on. It measures 15" wide by 8" deep and the front and back walls are each 7". It has two book ends that slide along a rockler T track to lock the piece in place and also to allow duplicated cuts. I made it out of 3/4" and 1/2"Â Baltic birch plywood scraps I had laying around the shop.
April 29, 201313 yr Wow Robert!!! Awesome! I love the splines, and your jig is completely pro looking. You may want to go into production selling the sled! Were you concerned about the sled tray being dead on accurate at 90degrees? Or, does really even need to be dead on accurate, we are talking splines after all right? April 30, 201313 yr Very nice jig indeed!I am sure that I am not the only one that would like a few more photos of it from different angles so that I can make one for my shop. Allen WorshamCorona, CAallenworsham@earthlink.net'Graze in every man's field, but always give your own milk' J. May 3, 201313 yr Oohh multiple width and locking versatile. You could use that on the Router table also for DT splines.
