May 2, 201313 yr  Tried out a couple places today.    First place was a bust.   60s era Blue Stanley #4, for $30???  Pass.  Went down the road to a place I used to go to last year.   Seems they have a shelf, or three of goodies.  First one has to walk through the "Main Store" area. Warning!  ANY tool that makes it to this area, goes way up in price!   Like an old Union #5c, for $30????  I might have gone $15, but not 30.  Next to the Main Store, one can walk over to the "Barn".     This is where old rusties first show up at.  One entire aisleway of rust! That big pile to the left is all ahcksaw type of saws, aka Meat Saws. See that short saw laying there?  14" long blade.   In the middle of the three saw stack ( say THAT three times, real fast) is a BIG old rip saw.    Further down this aisle, was a Stanley #110 block plane, i THINK.   Was kind of hard to tell, with all the dirt on it. Further along this Rustiness, a few Cordless drills for for salePick your size.   Even had a few bits to use, but they needed one of them $8 hand braces in the storeCouple Miter Boxes, and a couple abused chisels.   So what came away from here?Just three little items, cost about $8 + Tax.   That piece of Pine is for a "Hutch" I have to build tomorrow.  A 1 x 12" x12'  $9.22 board from Menards.    Then the Road trip got VERY INTERESTING!It was 40+ miles to get this home, into a very stiff wind.   Twine, and a single Bungy cord to hold it down, almost.    No cracks, anyway.  The bad part of the trip?  The wife went along, and spent more than I did..... Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...
