May 3, 201313 yr  Cost me a whopping $3, too A Stanley #110.   Time to take it apart, and clean it up a bit. That is a spider's nest on the knob, too.   Got out some cleanerand soaked them down a bit. Set up the wire wheels in the Drill press, and put the beltsander in the vise. The cleaner is nice, but flash rust happens.  Got the parts cleaned upKnob will get a coat of Black paint.  I also sharpened the iron back up.   Put things back together, for now.   I found out I am out of black paint.    I did give it a test driveand it actually made some decent shavingsSo, maybe a nice coat of gloss black paint later?Next up, the rest of this $8 + Tax deal needs to be cleaned upTwo handsaws and a small plane, to go?
