Kitchen Hutch, the "finish" is on..

According to what the "Better Half " wants. ning-sdc15178-13202-16.jpg?width=750Chair sitting behind it is a "Trash Pile" find, needs a seat pad to go on the plywood "seat".     One coat of Minwax Ebony, just painted on, no wipe-off.   She even liked the blotchiness!    ning-sdc15179-13202-47.jpg?width=750Might go back and redo them edges, IF she allows me to....

Was finished outside, on the front porch.    That way, the neighbors can smell the stuff, instead of it stinking up my house.   Now, my daughter wants one, as well....( just never ends, does it)

Nice!

I have never used Minwax's Ebony finish.

Steve, the black finish looks cool and old, are you going to leave it flat like that or is there still some clear that is going over it?

No idea yet on "final " finish.    Haven't been told, yet....

Plywood was a luann plywood, blotches worse than the Pine did.   She is after a "lived in" look, almost a Primative Look.  She has a "Pantry Cupboard"  and a Chimmeney Cupboard in the kitchen done the same way.     Jst those two were done with a paint that costs  a lot more than a small pint of stain...
