June 7, 201313 yr Got to the point that all the metal work was done.   Iron flattened, and scary sharpped, found a bolt to hold it to the refurbbed chipbreaker.   Sides were cleaned, and the sole as wellBut, something else said "Refurb me!"   Ah, the handles!   They had a nasty looking, vile smelling, THICK sort of "Finish".     Tote was smooth, though.   Time to get to clean up the woodsEven shined up the lever cap!    Knob look a little more "presentable"?   This is a WWII era Wards Master #3.   Another view?Like the "plastic" wheel.   Don't think I can "polish" it up, though.  My finish is a little thinner.   50/50 Minwax gloss, and BLO.   Brushed on, and then wiped down with a big handful of Cherry shavings. One more look?Well, maybe the other views will look better... Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...
