June 7, 201313 yr A parade of my Millers Falls ( and a stowaway)The #9, taking a break. The #9 with a Dunlap 4D BB( M-F #90) and in front, a Millers Falls 900 V Line.  Hiding behind it's big brother, a M-F #8.   And now for the refurbbed StowawayStanley Four Square Junior Jack plane.   Size is 11" long, with an 1-3/4" iron.  Pre-WWII household plane.  It does have the SW logo on the iron, though. As for cleaning up a handle?  Wire brush (Brass one) in the Drill Press, and you can do it with one hand.  Work towards the finished areas you want to strip.  Otherwise, the brush just drags the gunk across the bare wood. Wear an old t-shirt, as this gets very messy, with the old finish flying around.   Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...
