June 9, 201313 yr  FrankenBailey #5Started out as a "parts plane"  Victor (Stanley) frog, pushing a Buck Brothers 2" wide iron.  Walnut handles I made, to fit my hands. Can be used as a large smooth plane (here on some Cherry) ormaking curlie things on the edge grain as a jointer.   Edge of iron is dead straight across.  "Frog Adjust Screw" is just on the base.   Victor never drilled their frogs to handle the bolt.   High knob has no base ring, either.  As for them curlie thingysThey tend to pile up, after awhile. Ok, how about another Stanley made plane? This is a plane use in Industrial Arts Classes back in the day.  Sometimes called a Junior Jack plane. This one is a Four Square 5-1/4.   Sold also to homeowners for around the house. 11" long.  I might have it about sharp enough??? Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...
