Your Challenge Coin Displays in the Hands of Two Air Force Men

Featured Replies

As you all know, our latest Challenge Coin Display Campaign was kicked off this past April and we have been receiving shipments from our members over the last couple months. This current delivery is now out to Dwight Eisenhower Medical Clinic Warrior's in Transition Unit.

But before the displays were shipped out, we had a special request by an Airman to receive two displays for a couple Airmen who were to be recognized for their work as first responders to a horrific accident involving a 747 American Cargo Jet that crashed at the Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan. The accident was awful, killing all aboard. You may remember this shocking video of the actual crash which can be found at US Cargo Plane Crashes in Bagram.
This is a bitter sweet moment Patriot Woodworker's. We are saddened at the loss of life of some of our men and women serving our nation, yet we are proud that we were thought of to help honor a couple Airmen who arrived on scene and did their job. These two young men went above and beyond and performed their job well in the midst of one of the worse air disasters our military has been involved in.

We answered the call, and we sent two displays to Bagram to be presented to the two young men who I am sure will never forget the horrific scene of the disaster. Our displays traveled half way around the world to be given to TSGT Brown and TSGT Case.

We chose Ronald Dudelston's displays to be given to the airmen because Ron is an old Air Force man himself serving during Vietnam. So his signature on the bottom of the displays carried a whole lot of weight with these Airmen. And the feed back I received from the scene, is they loved the displays. Simple the displays are, but the fact they were hand made by a fellow Airman, spoke volumes for these young soldiers.

Thank you Airmen for a job well done, as horrific as it was, you had to be there, and you performed your job well. On behalf of a grateful crew of woodworkers, thank you.

And to Ronald Dudelston, good job Airman!

I'm humbled at the opportunity to be a part of this venture.  Thanks guys from an old time airman!

Rather fitting that Ron's displays went to TSGT's Brown, and Case.

Keep up the great work, and Thank You all for your service.

Great shots of some very well deserving men. Thanks for your service guys!

Good job, Ron.

Great photos, too.

Great job Ron in your sacrifice of time, material and money to support our troops. Congratulations to the men who received them for excellent service in the line of duty!
