July 7, 201312 yr  Seems I used a few planes yesterday.    Also finished a re-furb or two.  First off, the work horses of the table project,Re-built from spare parts Jack plane, set up as a smoother, helped on the leg tapering.  NextA Stanley Four-Square Junior jack.  Also worked on the legs, and rounded over the aprons. ( same test bed through out, just some OLD QSWO) next.Handles were stripped, coat of BLO added to the bare wood, iron is now almost sharp.  Stanley Defiance #4.   Like them handles??   Next on the re-furb listMillers Falls marketed this as a Mohawk-Shelburne #4, aka Millers Falls #900.  Handles WERE painted black, been stripped down to bare wood, and a coat of BLO applied.   iron might be sharp enogh?  Kind of a "fussy" plane to set.   Finally, just because it wanted to show off on that old oakWood river #4 V3.   Cpmpare the handles to that Stanley Defiance one.    Not sure why this old Oak makes ribbons like this..... Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...
