I'm not a RAS expert but that sure seems more than fair to me.  Maybe Mr. Buskirk will chime in here in a bit.

On another forum, a fella documented his rehab of a similar aged DeWalt.

He rewired it and replaced some bearings. IIRC, there were some motor issues, too.

Of course, he cleaned and shined everything. It was a beauty when he was done.

nice saw made when dewalt was in the machinery business.

Hey~!! It's a hobby~!! It's not supposed to make sense.

It looks like one of the better ones. You might even get it cheaper if you try. Offer less and see what they say.

Richard,

Those old DeWalts are considered by quite a few people to be a very good RAS.

That is one hockey sticks of an RAS Richard, get it!!!!! Now!!!!

That is the same saw The Original Saw Company now holds the rights too. You cannot get a better RAS for your shop then this vintage of Dewalt. The Original Saw Company now manufactures this saw, and it is very expensive to purchase, get it, it's a true diamond in the rough, and at that price, you cannot lose.

Read the History behind that saw HERE.

The Original Saw has been one of my dreams to own for a long time, and you're going to get it for 175 bucks!!!!!! Way to go Richard. Jump on it before folks catch wind what is out there.
