Challenge Coin Display

Featured Replies

Challenge coin display I'm working on for a friend. It'll hold a gross when done.
Each shelf has to rows. The idea is he will put five or six in the back row spaced wide and the more meaningful ones in the front rows. He is not sure how many he has. But over 90. The back will have bead board and the rest is made of Maple.

That is going to be an awesome Coin Display. I see lots of hand tools on the bench, did you do that shelf with the planes and other hand tools?

I am sure he will be thrilled to display his coins on these shelves.

Wow that's probably the largest display I have seen :) Looking great so far. Looking forward to seeing it done.

Hand tools all the way John. I used a Stanley 45 to cut the grooves for the coins. Cut the rebates in the back for the bead board with an old wooden skewed rebate plane. Cut the groves for the shelves with a Spear and Jackson back saw then chiseled out the waste.

The guy wants to pay me but to me he paid up front with his service to our country.

Very nice display Mark.  I'm sure the new owner will love it.  It looks huge but what are the actual dimensions?

Maybe an Ipad operator error, but I'm only getting one out of three photos to load at a time.
