August 6, 201312 yr Had a good workout at therapy today. Hey I am up to the 4 lb weights now. Just think about the curls I am doing with 4 lbs. The shoulder is feeling good. Today they had me also throwing a ball that weighed about two pounds or more. I really like the folks I have been working with. So after a good day in therapy and getting the cutting board shipped today, I need to get on this cedar chest that has been on my bench for a while. I already had the dovetails cut and just needed to get the bottom in and the sides glued. Tonight I got to work on it for a little while. Not pushing it yet but it feels good to get to do some work. Got my Bessey's out, put the glue to the dovetails, got the bottom in the dado's and clamped it down. The top is already glued up so tomorrow night I will get it cut to size. Then just make the bottom skirt/legs and maybe this will be ready for some finish by the weekend. This one is headed to Arizona when it is finished. August 6, 201312 yr Author For sure Gene. I should get it out of the clamps tonight and get the panel for the top sized. I will then start of the skirt for the legs.Gene Howe said:Good news, John.Chest looks good, too. August 7, 201312 yr Author So last night I got the clamps off the Cedar Chest and got the corners sanded. Like a little more sanding on the front panel. Got the top cut to size and routed. Ready to put on the hinges and start the bottom skirt and legs. Making progress slowly, but surely! John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
