August 28, 201312 yr Well, not too much of a move. All of the planes that were sharpened up, and cleaned up spent their time on "Holiday" in on the dining room table ( the infamous table in an afternoon) so it was time, according to the Boss.   had the big guy already down thereLeveling some QSWO after a test drive by a newly sharpened and set rip saw.Got the larger planes grouped together for the trip down to the Dungeonmy #6c, two #5s, and a 5-1/4 junior jack. next was all the #4sWR #4V3, M-F #9, a very big Dunlap #4 and a Stanley Defiance #4, and down they went. next up, i had a few in the #3 sizeMillers Falls #8, a York pitch Dunlap with a west german iron, a Wards Master (Stanley) #3and a Windsor #33 scrub plane. Down they went, too. Getting a might crowded so the last group will stay put for awhilesitting in back of that mob, is a Wards(Stanley) #78.  The mob from the rear: Stanley #103, Stanley #110, Sargent ( craftsman) #307, and a #306, and a plane under re-construction. Supposed to be a Stanley #18 1/4? Crowded in the Dungeon Shop?whatever gave me THAT idea?   You can just make out another plane, doing a bit of workYou might just know that plane, and the wood is some QSWO scrap. The same scrap a saw had ripped earlierLooking better, anyway. Does have one lousy bad tooth, right in the middle of the blade, and i will have to fix that, sometime.  Trying to find room for a $1.50 drill kit and a case of bits..inside the black case was almost a full set of Bullet drill bits, missing about three, I think. Supposed to be a screwdriver tip for that drill as well, but didn't find any... Dungeon Shop was even hotter than the upstairs.   Have to wait until they are done drying clothes next time.... Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...

August 29, 201312 yr A angled shelf up high will line up those planes and keep them handy as well as out of the way.Don't forget to put in a little 1/4 inch stick behind the front edge of the shelf to keep the blades off the shelf.
