August 31, 201312 yr I have been texting with a gentleman about a Lineberry Foundry and Furniture Co. freight cart. I found out he was in Athens, AL, about 45 miles east of me. We took off this afternoon and made the trip over to look at them and maybe pick one out. When we got there we found out we knew his family and I had been a pallbearer in his uncle's funeral. He said we he came up that I looked familiar. It was kinda neat to find out we knew the family. His other uncle just purchased my parents house in April. So he and another guy purchased about 100 of these carts. We plan on making it a coffee table. They were made in the 1900's. This one has the original stenciling. Looking forward to getting it cleaned up and restored. Should be a fun project. Kinda of a cool thing since it was used in a furniture factory. August 31, 201312 yr Author Thanks Lew, I think it will be pretty cool. I have seen several of them used that way and they look great.Ron, I may have to brace up the floor or it will wind up in the den downstairs. You for sure don't want to hit your toe or shin on it.John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
