September 6, 201312 yr comment_9477 How about a "saw bench"?   Picked up a 2 x 8" from a trash pile today.  Old side board from a waterbed.   Might be just enough there to make a bench to run my hand saws on.         yepper, there will be pictures, just to not protect the guilty (me).   Still working out the details, single brain cell in overload mode. Planer? September 6, 201312 yr comment_9483 I used to salvage discarded lumber from the dumpster behind "Friend's Lumber" in Burlington Mass.One day the deal got ruined for me by an overzealous local cop who couldn't get his around the idea that it was - - - wait for it - - -  DISCARDED TRASH and made me put my 1972 plymouth valiant wagon load of thrown-away-lumber back in the dumpster. September 7, 201312 yr Author comment_9481 and the first one is done, pictures processed into the home computer, and......internet went down and now things are in limbo-land.   Took most of the morning to make one saw bench.   Think a short ( 22" high) saw horse.  So maybe this would be a pony size?  If I can get the pictures out and load them up at this Public Library computer, there will be one heck of a photo blog...Planer?
