September 7, 201312 yr I use the most efficient  method in the galaxy. I invoke an automated process that uses a nifty filing system I call archeological.  My method taps into a power grid that's been around for as long as there have been at least two bits of matter to bump into each other.  There is an energy flux in the cosmos that I tap into for all the energy needed to accomplish my scrap storage  - - that and a rather large-ish space on floor on the the side of my TS and in back of my BS.I merely give the scraps a little push and gravity handles the rest.So when I'm looking for that certain piece of scrap, I always know exactly where to look. And the archeological nature of the filing system always and unerringly informs me how deep to dig.
