Mounting scroll saw

Featured Replies

UPS delivered my new saw (DeWALT 788) this morning. NICE!!!

My old one I had mounted with the back about 2" higher. Does this really help with sawing?

Thanks

Not a scroll sawer, Harry, but I would imagine that mounting configuration would provide better visibility.

Mine's mounted level. I imagine that Lew is correct about visibility, but my seat high enough that my knees almost touch the underside of the table. I'm looking straight down at the work.

Mine is mounted about 2 inches higher in the rear also. I think it does help with visibility. My old saw was mounted level and this one seems to be a little more comfortable. I suppose it is a personal thing, whatever is best for you.

I'm going to be working on it tomorrow. Like I said, the old "toy" was on a 2x4 and with my eye sight, I need all the help I can get. It's no big deal to put it back level and try it that way also.

Thanks
