September 25, 201312 yr trying a new one out, so bear with me if some are a might fuzzy around the edges. Took it down to the Dungeon Shop last nightyep a bit fuzzy. This is all the room there is, and that big gray tub is now for any shavings I make.  Gift from Igor?? Seems large stuff like a room is more than this will do, until I learn to adjust it. SoI moved in a bit closer, and some tool porn? Boot box cost a whole $18 for some steel toed boots. Box is recycled to hold other junk now. See anything you know? Tried a bit closer, feeling like Mr. MagooLined up a crowd of toys, er, tools and tried thatMight know a few of these? Looked overhead, and found a few "bats" in my belfryTurned around and saw a few moreYep, even a drawer full of stuffWill take a might longer to learn about this Vivacam F128...Ya think?? May do more of these tests later, as I have the day off.  Strange schedule, but still get 81 hours every two weeks.... Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...

September 26, 201312 yr Speaking of quality of pictures only. Â My observations as a long time photographer. All of them look a little washed out - too bright. Â Looking at the time line, at 3AM you must have been using the flash. Â I have found out that most digital cameras with flash will look too bright until a cloth is used in front of the flash. Â Just using a thin hankerchief will do the trick. Â These new flash units will throw quite a bit of light out there. Â Another way is to see if you can play with the aperture and shutter settings when using flash. Â You have to be careful with this one, though. Â You don't want to screw up "non-flash" pictures (unless the non-flash pictures are too bright as well). When all else fails, I use PhotoShop to darken up those pix that are too bright. That's just my 2% of a buck, Steven. Â Great thread - and thanks for bringing up the subject.Fredaka Pop's Shopwww.pops-shop.com'Soooooo many patterns - sooooo little time'Scroll Saw Forum Host
September 26, 201312 yr Author Time line on camera is way off.  Haven't reset it, it is just about right out of the box sort of thing.  Have two "daylight bright" tubes overhead, plus a window or two down there.   Will re check some things on the camera, and the DVD that came with it.  A camera that is smarter than I am, whod a thunk it?Planer? September 26, 201312 yr I know it helped me with our new camera just playing around with it. You don't have to spend money on film and developing. Just delete the bad ones.BUT, as the saying goes, "if all else fails, read the directions".Harry BrinkBulldog WoodworkingMontana
