I know I'm a little bit early to start this thread because I usually start it on Mondays.  Welllllllllll, we are still in our camper on the road and won't get home until late Monday afternoon.

Hmmmmmmmmm, what did we get done done this weekend, you ask.  We had a very successful show at Ketner's Mill about 40 miles west of Chattanooga, TN.  About 10,000 folks on Saturday with open wallets ! ! !  Sold out of both maps AND every military thing I had with me.  Orders were taken.  Woe is me.  have to get cracking when we get home.

Enough about me - how about y'all????  Tell us, show pictures, etc.

Hey Lew, Not to worry. Any self respecting cook has many sizes of rolling pins. Some for BIIIG pies and some for wee tortes. 

My weekend was productive, even if the results of what I got done will never be seen....hopefully. Got oodles of rabbets, mortises and tenons completed. Still got several more mortises to go. I need a set self sharpening chisels.

Above and Beyond WoodWorks

I was at a great Men's Conference with about 20 other guys from my church. We had a great and blessed time and now I have a number of things to chew on this week as I mull over the messages from a couple of the speakers. Right now I am sitting in a McDonalds in Seal Beach, CA with my wife having breakfast and some computer time. She has a week long conference/training through the "Autism Partnership" that she is very excited for. It will be hands on training working with children with autism. So we got a hotel down this way for the week so I will be dropping her off in the morning and picking her up in the afternoon. In between I will be bouncing around the coastal area shooting with my camera as well as seeing some friends in the area. We will get to have some great time together during the evening, so it should be a nice week.

Congratulations on a great show Fred. It is always with mixed feelings when you sell out. Feels good to sell out and then you realize you have to get busy and make more quick.

Got a little bit of shop time this weekend and started several projects and finished none.

First up I finally got all the rust and what was left of any japanning from this Stanley No.5 I started on several weeks back.

So everything is about ready to start the restoration and bring it back to the original beauty it once had.

I also got a couple of panels of Cherry glued for two different projects.

First up is a Cherry Panel for a Cherry top small round table.

The top will be 16" round when finished.

And I glued up another panel of Cherry for a drop in board for a sink. They have a double sink and want to be able to drop this in and cover the sink and used the space from serving. They gave me  a pattern so this will get finished smooth and cut to size.  A couple of small finger holes to life it out and a finish and it will be out of here.

I am also working on two special order cutting boards. Both of them are Maple, Walnut and Purple Heart. The first one I started the sanding on but still have a bit to go.

The second on has not been under the sander yet. Just got it out of the clamps over the weekend.

They are certainly not very pretty with glue all over them.

And next I got two frames for a shadow boxes but out and planed. Just need to miter the corners, cut the rabbits and glue them up so I can cut out the top and order the glass.

So that was about all I got done in the half day I had in the shop on Saturday morning.

Busy two weeks coming up so these have got to get finished.
