I asking for prayer for my brother Adam. Adam is a combat veteran as well and struggles with PTSD, a spinal injury, anxiety and depression. He has a service dog named Kota that he was able to have trained thanks to a non-profit service dog training organization healing4heros. Adam and Kota along with 2
other representatives from the regional area have been requested to appear on Fox and Friends this coming Sunday. Please pray for guidance in the area of finances, due to this being a costly opportunity. The organization relies on donations and do not have the funds to provide the transportation to and from New York City, at this time. They have the funding for training future animals and their handlers but this
would be an exciting opportunity for them to showcase the positive results of Veterans being paired with a Service Dog.

UPDATE:

Since everything was such short notice, they were having problems making arrangements for Adam, Kota and the trainer, that they finally decided it wasn't going to work for today. As it stands right now, they are going to try again next Sunday and I can give you all much more information Monday evening or Tuesday.

Thank you all so much for your support and prayers and we will continue to pray for this.

You all are the best and I appreciate all of the support you give to all our veterans and organizations that support them.

Latest Update

Prayer Update - Adam Schlagenhauf (from his brother Matt)

I wanted to send out an update regarding my brother Adam and his
opportunity to appear on Fox and Friends with his Service Dog, Kota.
I asked him for the latest and this was his response.

"Still sitting on standby for Fox to say it's a go. The producer is
working on getting it aired nationally not just eastern and central
time zones."

As you know, this was an opportunity presented to him two weeks ago,
with hopes of appearing either last week or this week... It is still
in the works though.

Thank you all for your prayer and support concerning this. We are
excited for this wonderful opportunity and are asking for continued
prayers. I will keep you all updated as soon as he hears any news.

These programs that pair service dogs with wounded warriors are wonderful. Anything that publicizes their successes is a good thing. I fervently hope Adam finds the necessary resources to make the trip.

Koda, was my son Andrew's dog. She is a mixed lab and was and is very lovable. Andrew gave the dog to Adam to help him out. She has a vest to put on that has his patches on. When she is not working he removes the vest and she is as playful as can be. When he puts the vest on, she is aware she is working and stands guard for Adam. She can sense his anxiety and will move him out of a situation or crowd.

It is truly amazing to watch her when she has the vest on. Without it the kids climb all over her and she loves to play with them. Healing4heros is just one more of the great organizations out there trying to assist our service men and women when they return home.

Ashby, my daughter just called and a couple has taken care of the plane tickets. Just trying to see what else we need to get for him to make it. He flies out of Huntsville, Al in the morning.

Yes it was something that they Fox contacted Healing4Heros and wanted someone to come on. Adam and Kota are the most qualified right now so they called him to see if he could work it out. So yes the whole thing was a very short notice, but would be great exposure for Healing4Heros to be able to get the funds to train more dogs and get them in the hands of veterans that need them.
