Happy Veterans Day 2013Remembering Those Who Served, This Veterans Day, November 11, 2013
Dear American and Canadian Woodworkers,
Please remember those who have served our country's during this most special day of days. If you see a veteran, thank him or her. If a veteran lives nearby and needs a hand, lend it. The older fellow down the street, talk to him, most likely he served behind a rifle during one of the greatest wars of our country's history. That young lady or man, making their way down the street in a wheel chair with a void where legs used to occupy, most likely they served in Iraq or Afghanistan, ask them, then shake their hand and thank them, they would love to hear from you. They don't ask much, they don't receive much after coming home, we owe them our lives and our respect, because they served, you and I live and dream freely as a result of their sacrafices. Thank you veterans,

John Morris

Canada's Remembrance Day
Our friends to the north share a very important day with us, their day is Remembrance Day, we share our Veteran's Day with our Canadian friends. Canada and America has served in virtually every war and action together since WWI. We have been together in the trenches of WW1 to the D-Day landings on Normandy during WWII to the current actions overseas in the mid-east. We are both proud and honored here on The Patriot Woodworker to be recognizing the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces who served and sacrificed much as both of our countries walked arm in arm in battle and humanitarian service throughout the world.
Here's to our friends, Thank You.

We have showcased the Turn for Troops event by Woodcraft on The Patriot Woodworker over the last several weeks, and now we are down to the last day of the event! So please if you would like to show your appreciation through wood turning, then search out a Woodcraft Store near you by clicking on The Store Locator and ask them if they are sponsoring a Turn-for-Troops event, and then head on over and have a ball! All skill levels are welcome, help get some terrific pens in the hands of some deserving troops!!

Thank You Supporter's!
We'd like to give a very special thank you to our supporters below, for without them The Patriot Woodworker's would not be able to provide the services we do and without them, we could not keep our community live. The financial support that Woodcraft, Laguna Tools, Bessey Tools and Easy Wood Tools provides us,makes it so we can exist, and pay our bills and stay involved in our special projects throughout the year.
Each one of our supporters mentioned, are firm supporters of our veterans both here in our own country and of our Canadian friends to the north. We are so very thankful and appreciative of their support, please click on the links below and visit our supporters websites and purchase your woodworking tools, equipment and supplies from them. Support our sponsors, they support us!!

Happy Veterans Day to all my shipmates and comrades in arms.

May we always be vigilant in defense of liberty.

May we always remember those who now stand as eternal guardians of our freedom.

We have been attacked at all angles for being who we are. The Veterans and current active military are whom we thank after only God for allowing us to live as we do. Don't take that for granted! Its a price paid by blood and sacrifice. God bless those who serve, GOD Bless Amerrica!

On Monday I was invited to a veteran's day recognition at my granddaughters school. The students were allowed to invite two family members that were veteran's. My granddaughters invited my son and myself as we both served. There were about 40/45 vets in attendance and we were all recognized individually.  My jaw hit the darn floor when they recognized 4 WWII veterans. It brought tears to my eyes as they mentioned the Canal, Iwo and Normandy. I was awe struck as I made a point to shake their hands afterwards......God bless each and every one of them. We owe them.
