steven newman Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013  Two recent additions to the fleet.  Already had a FranckenBailey #5 with a straight blade, and a Corsair C-5 (aka Cyclops) as a cambered jack.   The two newest have a groovy bottom to them, unlike the first two.  A Sargent 414c, and an Ohio Tool Co. #05cA look at the bottoms.  The Sargent plane is a bit newer, maybe WWII era??  The Ohio tool Co. one is about 1920s, maybe older.   Different totes, too. The Ohio one is a right hand thread brass wheel, the Sargent has a leftie steel one.  Both needed a touch up on the paint jobs.   The Ohio one got it's Crimson colour back, the Sargent got a shiny black. Different style knobs too.  So, now i have two cambered planes, and two without.  Two red planes, and two balck planes.   Two that are "Groovy". and two not so groovy.    Might be a bit rough to tell which plane to pick up.... Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...
