Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I'm an active duty Chief Warrant Officer in the Navy and have just recently taken up the wood-turning hobby. I look forward to all the future help and recommendations. For all those who have come before me, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE and for those who have not had the opportunity to serve, THANK YOU FOR YOUR NEVER WAIVERING SUPPORT!!!

Chief, there are tons of turners here that are willing to share their knowledge so don't be shy!

Welcome Chief and thank you for your service. I just want to say....the only way to get started is get an Easy Wood Tool in your hands! Of course, I am more than a little prejudice about these tools :-)

Hey, Richard, former Airdale here. Looking forward to seeing some of your projects.

Welcome to TPW Richard, always great to have yet another wood turner here :)

Welcome Richard. You sure are in a nice place. BIL lives in Everett and we've been on Whidby a few times.

Welcome on board the forums and hope you come back often. Our eldest son just retired as Navy Chief and resides in Virginia. Got to do a couple of Tiger Cruises on the Truman and Reagan. Cruise of a life time.

Thanks so much for your service and please enjoy your woodworking. I myself am an Army vet.

Welcome aboard Warrent, always good to have a active duty aboard. Hope you enjoy being on the site, it is a great site and has lots of interesting posts. I especially like all post concerning turning as that is my love. Hope we will be friends aboard here. I am a retired Construction Master Chief with 30 years and have always felt welcomed here.

Richard - I'm adding my welcome aboard to the list. I think every avenue of woodworking is present on this board. For myself, I'm a scroller. Be sure to visit often and when you have questions, ask away (we always have opinions).

Richard, thank you for your service and welcome to the forums. We look forward to sharing with you and experiencing the fun of turning here on the forum. Lots of turners here so jump in a make yourself at home.

Welcome aboard Chief Enjoy this site of the best of the best when it comes to woodworkers. And a lot of turners here to help you learn to create beautiful items. Enjoy and Thanks for YOUR Service
