Recently retired LTC from the Army. Have been doing wood working for about 20 years, but took up wood carving about 3 years ago. I find it extremely enjoyable and relaxing.

Glad to here, and retired.

Jerry from one Hoosier to another (and 1 vet to another) welcome to The Patriot Woodworker. Maybe we can meet at the January Woodworking Show.

Welcome to TPW Jerry, and thank you for your service from a grateful civilian. My son and daughter in law just moved to Indy back in July and love it out there. But watch out for that Dudelston guy, he is a bit out there. His wife on the other hand is a real keeper.

Welcome aboard Sir! I'm traveling down the same path, 23.5 years is enough for this old Noncom! Post some pics of your stuff!

Hi Jerry, welcome to the TPW! Thank you for your service and enjoy your retirement. I did my Army time several years back and our son is serving now. Carving is a great way to relax, I've been doing it for 25 years.

Howdy Jerry. Great to have you with us,

Thanks for your service from this old vet.

The show is usually the 2nd weekend in January.  I'll have to check out the gallery.

We are glad you are here too G, Savage. It's great to have you here and I hope you share much of our work with us, we need you to come aboard, and jump in and mentor. Thanks again! So is it sir still now that you are civilian? I'll never forget my first face to face with a colonel when I was just a young private straight out of AIT, I about fell over myself trying to whip that salute out fast enough!

Hey there. Welcome to TPW~!! Got some serious weather in your area.

I been to Indianapolis twice. First time was hitchhiking from Boston to the west coast and it was dead of winter and snowing like who dun it.

John, thanks. I started out as a private back in 1982. Hard to believe that looked the other way long enough to make me a LTC. I tried to upload some pics of my work, hopefully I was successful. Jerry Savage

John, it looks like my pics uploaded ok, there have been a few comments. They show under my photos page I'm still trying to figure out how to view others pics. I'll figure it out eventually.
