December 12, 201312 yr As woodworkers, we all should be able to produce jigs to assist Mark. One of my favorites is a little device I use for direct measurement of inside dimensions. No numbers just a couple pieces of aluminum flat bar stock sliding in a wood piece with a bolt in a "T" nut to secure it. Set it by feel and carry it to the saw to set the fence. Another is a little mitering jig for use with a pull saw. I got the plans from Woodsmith or Shop Notes, but I cannot find them again. Maybe someone else can. I've emailed to Woodsmith. Hopefully I can get the plans again.Another useful jig would be a shooting board for 90s and 45s. I'm sure that many of you Patriots can come up with great ides for jigs or devices to help Mark cope with his disability in the shop. Let's put on out thinking caps, guys. Who knows, maybe some of our ideas will help  many others, too. Gene 'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.' G. K. Chesterton

December 12, 201312 yr Gene, you are the man!!! Excellent ideas!!!! My thinking cap is burning right now! I can make some router and skill saw guides or straight edges, those could easily be used with Marks visual impairment. Thanks Gene! John MorrisThe Patriot Woodworker
