December 12, 201312 yr About a month ago, I turned the ornament in the center. Yesterday I was cleaning shop and found the waste cut from that ornament. I glued them together and made another ornament (on the left) out of the waste. While it is not perfect, it don't look too bad.

December 15, 201312 yr  I maintain my off-cut pile all year long/ I'll manage to remember pretty near every stick of lumber that I shove off the side of my saw to form a pile that can be 3 or 4 feet across and 2 or 3 feet high. I go digging around in it to find just that certain piece to use for sumpin' and from that there's probably a little off-cut to return to the pile. When the weather turns cold, the pile behind my BS and next to my TS become kindling. I'll haul boxes of the stuff upstairs toss in the fireplace pile on some firewood pour a cup of alcohol and light it up and enjoy the blue flame that gets the whole thing going.
January 6, 201412 yr Very pretty ornaments! Creative use of scraps and the wood mix and the designs are really attractive. Great work!To know but not to do is not yet to know.WWW.SAWBLADE.COM
January 13, 201412 yr Those are really neat. That gives me lots of ideas. Now all I have to do is act on them! LOL.    Nice work. Never thought of using the cut offs that way.
