January 8, 201412 yr I have a Ryobi BT3000 Table Saw and lately it has become increasing difficult to raise the blade. its to the point where I have to use two hands and take 1/2 turn hard wrenches. any ideas whats causing it to act this way?
January 8, 201412 yr I'm assuming there is no lock on the handle Butch. Probably the lift assembly is packed with sawdust. A good lowing out with ye ole air hose should help the situation. I also read that that model has a lever that you have to disengage to switch back and forth between tilt and lift. Make sure that lever is fully shifted to the lift position.Ron DudelstonSite AdministratorAbove and Beyond WoodWorks

January 9, 201412 yr ButchDo you have the manual for this machine? If you do look on page 35. It shows the elevating screw assembly. I am assuming you have to release a cam and swing the lift handle to set it for a miter cut going by the drawing. I'm going to try and attach the manual in here. I have high lighted the areas on page 35 for you. I think Ron hit it on the head with needing a good cleaning and some lube. Hope this works for you.Wayne MahlerGod bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.
