Super glue finish

Featured Replies

Wow, I am impressed!  I used linseed oil and cheap super glue to get a fantastic finish on a small turned piece. First you should know that I am in the experiment stage and not all of my results were good. I kept fooling around till I had something.

forgot to add that I have a few tricks to get the finish and will share when finalized

Looks really interesting! Does the addition of the oil extend the drying time of the CA glue?

I haven't tried with linseed oil but usually do thin CA by itself, that works well too. I wish I had taken a picture of my latest work. It was a stylus done in buckeye and using a glue finish in thin, but that's ok I'll catch the next one and perhaps post it around here somewhere.

I wonder what inspired anyone to mix those two things together.
