A little late posting this today, I spent the day at school substituting in the IST class. Today was the first day of the new semester. All new kids, all the first day stuff- forms, safety lectures, safety quizzes, more forms more lectures. It's been a while since I've had to talk ALL day and my throat is reminding me of that.

It's been too cold, even in the basement shop to finish up the new rolling pin holders. They're all sanded but with the low temperatures, I really don't want to apply any poly.  The rolling pins are oiled and wrapped in wax paper. I need to finish this up so I can get started on the bunk beds.

The finished pins- the dark ones are walnut-

The one on the rite really had a lot of lighter coloring and splotches of color.

I've redesigned the holders to be a little less bulky and hopefully compliment the rolling pin shape.

A vertical holder-

The bottom "socket" and the upper capture ring are dovetailed into the back of the holder. These are walnut and maple.

A horizontal holder-

This holder has 2 capture rings- both dovetailed into the back.

Safe Turning! And, to my buddy Nate Meadows- Get Well Soon!!
