I saw this and just had to buy my J/P a  battery powered gizmo to celebrate the new cutter head.


 

That's a good price! I have some igaging stuff (not this) the only thing I've found is that the batteries seem to drain pretty fast.

Well you could go for the $280 Mitutuyo and get better battery life.


All three of my digital tools are Wixey and two of them eat batteries, too. I've started removing the batteries from the angle gauge and height/depth gauge. The planer gauge hasn't been installed yet, so battery life on it is unknown at this point. 


The planer gauge was bought for a previous planer and that planer was gifted to my son before I got the gauge installed. I hope when it get's installed on the DeWalt that it doesn't drain the battery as fast as the others.

I have the Igaging angle guage and height guages. Battery life is shorter then I like, but these work good. I just keep extra batteries on a peg board in my shop.
