My name is James Grisham I am originally from Kansas but retired from the U.S. Army in Killeen TX. I was a 19D Cavalry Scout and at the time of my retirement I was assigned to 1-7 CAV, 1BCT, 1CD I am married and have two children one son and one daughter and one granddaughter. My son is in the Army and is an 11B Infantryman stationed at FT Bragg and assigned to 1/505 PIR 82nd Airborne Div. My daughter and granddaughter reside with me and my wife. My daughter is starting her first year of college this fall. I was wounded while in the Army and I am a Disabled Vet. I am just getting back into woodworking and after looking at some of your projects I feel like a real amature. Here are some of the things I have built resently.

Welcome, James.

We are glad you joined us.

Your two posted projects don't look amateurish to me.

James, sure looks like your skills are top shelf!  Welcome to the site and thanks for your service.

Welcome aboard, James and thank you for your years of dedication and service.

We are a bunch of folks who are Patriots first and woodworkers second.  We love to share our ideas and opinions with whomever will listen.  Just remember sometimes free advise is exactly that - but - advise around here is priceless.

You are not an amature my friend!!! NIce work, and l love the Challenge Coin display!

Thank you for your service James, and thank you for lending your son to the service of our country as well. We are honored. An 11B, hard work and long hours, hard training and the tip of spear. I know it takes a team, but the 11B wins wars, and Airborne to boot! Has your son jumped for his wings yet since he's been attached to the 82nd?

Thanks again for being here, and welcome to The Patriot Woodworker.

Thanks for the kind words John. I hadn’t noticed how dusty the Coin Rack was until I looked at the picture lol. I did a lot of Volunteer work when I was on active duty and saw that y'all volunteer your work for the wounded. I would like to help once I can get my shop up and running. Yes my son has made his jump with Division he’s a really good man and I couldn’t be prouder of him.

Thank you for your service as well Fred. The Army was the second best thing that ever happened to me the first was my family. I liked your words of wisdom on the advice, I am sure I can and will learn a lot from the members.

Welcome to TPW James!
Glad to have you aboard.

James, once you get up and running I am going to hold you to that commitment to help out!!! We donate challenge coin displays to our wounded around the nation. See this LINK and MEET OUR HERO's. We could use all the help we can get. The displays we build are very simple. We would love it when you get your shop going again, to reach out to us and let us know that you are ready to report for duty! Thank you sir.
