Veteran Mark Wilson's Surgery Progress Update 2-24-14

Featured Replies

Well Patriot Woodworker's, Mark's surgery did not go that well at all. It is very frustrating for him, but he seems to be doing fine. For a refresher on what he was going in for please click on

Please read a brief description in Mark's words of how his surgery went. Remember Mark is sight challenged, so some of the text is a tad jumbled.

Sorry if I wasn't in a very good mood the other day, been a lot going on, I kepy asking the nurses while I was at the hospital if they gave me all morning and night medicines, turns out the new doctor technician didn't tell the nurses to give them again after surgery, so the while time i was in the hospial not havung my 21 different medicines like glycoma eye drops, fluxetine, topiramate and others. en this surgery was a bust, in a lot of pain for nothoing. to day the doctor i like took my pain pump out because it wasn't needed anymore. He said my inscicions  looked great and took those stitches out. The doctor said my forearm and my left upper thigh skin graph looked great as well. But unfortunately he won't let me shave my face yet. I already have a week long beard and it itches like the dickens and is bout 3/4 inch long. Hhe wont let me take a shower yet either. guess its back to feild showers but least I get hot water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So hows your family doing? what have you been uo ti in your shop?

Mark should be going home soon, I believe he'll be home this weekend for sure. He sure is going through hockey sticks on this one, but he does not complain much guys, he has his adorable little daughter and loving family to go home to. Please keep Mark in your prayers, and remember, we have a ton of work to do still on his tools and machinery list! Please go to Marks Page and donate whatever you can, we are getting ready to close down this event at the end of the month, and we have so much work to do yet, thank you all for thinking of Mark this past week or so.

And Mark, if you are able to read this, take care man, you have been in our prayers and thoughts. I'll give ya a call when you get out!!!

Mark,

Hang in there old buddy. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Folks, the tools that we have been donating are important.  However, as you can see so is our prayer support.  Please continue to lift up Mark, his family and medical staff.
