Sketchup Users??

I was interested until I saw the price.  I can learn a lot on my own for $350 plus travel and hotel costs.  It does look interesting though.

Sketchup, is it owned by Google now?

No, John. It is owned by Trimble. Sketchup Pro is for commercial use and costs $$. Sketchup Make is free. They are very similar but lacks a few of the Pro features.

Sketchup Pro/Make 2014 is the latest version. However, some of the plug in's that worked with previous versions do not work with the latest version.

That's right! I knew they were bought out, and I now I remember my concern for sketchup being bought out by Trimble, Trimble is a premier maker of GPS equipment and everything else in the geospacial industry. We run Trimble on our survey crews and no doubt the equipment is tops. Does not surprise me they ended up with Sketchup.
