Awesome!!!!!! Can't wait to see you guys Allen, how cool is this! Just look for the bald guy Allen! Tonya may not be at this one, as tomorrow is her birthday, and she wants to just kind of kick back, it's been a long week for my wife. So we are giving her the day off, while we are out at the ground breaking. We'll celebrate her birthday this Sunday however, I am barbecuing her favorite grilled food, Shishkabob!

Tami and I had a great time at the groundbreaking for Cpl. Carlos Garcia. A really neat guy with a wonderful family. We met up with John Morris along with his daughter and some of her friends that were there with her from their "Patriot Club" at her school. They came out to help with the event and support Cpl. Carlos Garcia and his family. I forgot my camera but I did get a couple of cell phone photos while we were there. John brought his camera and I know that he will be posting some of those later on.

Homes For Our Troops have built 165 homes across the nation completely free of charge for the recipient. I have had the privilege to attend a number of HFOT events as well as helping out on a build over the past coupe of years. it is a really rewarding time and one you will never forget. If you ever have the opportunity to go to a groundbreaking ceremony or a turning over the keys ceremony or help on a build, I urge you to take the time go out and experience it.

Here is the official "Groundbreaking" with Carlos and his wife along with the head of HFOT as well as the Mayor of Murrieta and some other dignitaries.

Allen, thank you for especially posting that photo of two very handsome Patriot Woodworkers! By the way, just so yall don't get confused, I am the bald guy, and Allen is the other bald guy.

It was truly a fun day indeed. And seeing you and Tami there was wonderful even more. Yep, as usual this event was a life effecting day to say the least, they always are, and to be around the men and women who have served and paid the price while protecting us from the bad guys, is pretty awe inspiring.

I have a suggestion for anyone reading this poast, if life ever seems to be getting you down, or if you feel your problems are just becoming too much to manage, or if you find yourself complaining a tad about every day hohums in life, please look up a local event in your area and attend one of these very special events and lend a hand setting it up, get to know the folks, stand in the presence of men who are walking on mechanical legs, and are also missing upper limbs, witness a man wheel his chair up into the crowd, the man who is navigating that chair with his pinky finger because he is paralyzed from the neck down from an IED blast in Iraq. You'll see all this and much more, not too mention the wonderful stories and light hearted moments as well. And I guarantee you will have new perspective on life, for awhile, then when you feel the complaining and irritability towards others coming back into your life, look up another event to get your head straight. It's great medicine folks.

By the way, the man I described above in his wheel chair? He shows up to almost every event, yet he is not there to receive anything, he is there to support our troops, if he can show up, anyone can.

Great time indeed all around. See ya at the next one Allen and Tami!

And yes, I'll get those pictures up asap!
