Hi everyone,

I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself.

By profession I am a physical therapist and I am currently working on my PhD so I don't have a lot of spare time. I am originally from Ohio, but moved to Lubbock, TX just over a year ago. In my little spare time that I have I like to work with wood. I grew up around wood my whole life as my dad makes hardwood products for houses (flooring, trim, etc.) but I only had made a coffee table and a computer desk until 2012 when my wife (then fiancé) volunteered me to make 2 Maloof style rockers (one for her sister and one for my sister). Talk about starting with a difficult project.

Since then I have really enjoyed working with wood. I just recently finished a much nicer Maloof style rocker and I am working on another and I'm sure I will continue building them. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Wow, what a way to start out your "career" in woodworking.  So, where do you go now?

Stunning chair Mark :)

Ron, I currently go to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Ron and Charles, Thanks for the compliments.

Most excellent Mark!!!! Man, like Ron stated, what a way to start out in woodworking! Building a chair like that! Took me a long time before I felt comfy building something like that, my hat off to ya Mark.

And thank you sir for introducing yourself, that was very nice of you.

Let us know if you need help getting around here, we are here for you.

Thank you. It's such a small world. Until about 2 years ago I had never heard of Lubbock. I have since found that it is a relatively popular city.... just not for anything fun.
