A National Treasure Dies Today (The Last Navajo Code Talker)

Featured Replies

It is with deep sadness that one of our National Treasures has left us today, Chester Nez was the last Navajo Code Talker in existence, and he left for the big sky today. I know he is in good hands up there, where he is walking with his ancestors.

Thank you sir for your service to our country, a country that may have treated you unfairly, yet you stepped up to protect and serve her, thank you Chester Nez.

ATTENTION!!!!!!!! WARRIOR ON DECK!!!!!!!!!!!

The Navajo team did a great service. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Thanks for sharing it John.

As some may know, I worked on the Navajo Reservation for ten years before I retired. While visiting a Chapter House one day, I had the great honor to be introduced to Mr. Nez. He was a good, good man.

Very sorry to read of his passing.

That's must have been an incredible experience Gene, wow!

Such a wonderful piece of history sadly gone. It takes a special person to serve a country that did all it could to deprive him of what we were fighting for. FREEDOM!
