Might have found a few items. ning-imag0138-1175-98.jpg?width=750For the Princely sum of $2....a Simonsen Toolbox.    Had a few things inside, tooning-imag0139-1175-6.jpg?width=750Sorry, no tools ( of course) just a lot of trays.    That red, METAL label was found inside the box.   Super glue to re-attach it.   Nextning-imag0141-1175-20.jpg?width=750Two saws for parts ( more on THAT in a moment)That hammer head ($0.50 !!!) a $6 square, and a $0.50 chisel.   The two saws and the chisel came to $6.   Now, about them "parts"ning-imag0142-1175-45.jpg?width=750That brass medallion say Diamond Edge.   Bolts are brass.  Handle does have a crack or three.  Plate has an etch, but BFD, the plate has a crack, the tooth line in a big curve in the middle, and the teeth (those that are left) are of the "Cow & Calf" variety.    AKA....JUNK.

The other saw, though it had a few bends in the plate, had a very GOOD handle i could clean up, and a good set of saw BOLTS and a medallion.    Cleaned them up, installed on the saw I was rebuildingning-imag0145-1175-51.jpg?width=750and a shot of that hammerhead.  This is the rebuilt saw I was working on.   The handle I found down in the shop?   Needed wood filler in too many spots, plus, it was plywood!   Like this one more better.

The Chisel will need me to turn a handle for it.   3/4" Craftsman, with a wood handle held together with black tape.    That little square has no markings.   It does have lots of Brass & Walnut.  But...$6???

Can't win every deal, even for a Bandit....

Handle for the 4 pounder hammer will be a store bought affair, mainly for the steel wedges.  Day one is in the books, not too bad a day?

Planer? I'm the 'planer', and these are what I use...
