August 4, 201411 yr The last couple weeks my family and I have been watching a show called Combat Rescue, it is the only show of its kind that was allowed by the Air Force to be filmed. The camera crew followed a group of elite rescue soldiers that fly in by helo and pick up our wounded troops, afghan friendlies and civilians. Just a word of caution, it is gritty, graphic, and it is a real peek into the life of combat rescuers. You can catch the mini series on NetFlix, it is a National Geographic documentary of real life in the war zone. It will wake you up if you needed wakening to those folks here who never been near combat. I highly recommend the series. My entire family has watched it, from my 9 year old boy, 13 year old daughter, and 16 year old daughter, and my wife. This is my family, you may have different viewing requirements for your family, again beware, it can be graphic. A warning to our combat veterans, please use caution viewing this documentary.
