Cutting a Table Top - Video

Featured Replies

I got around to cutting the top of the communion table that I'm building for a local church.  I threw up the camera and let it roll.  I didn't mention it in the video but I placed foam sheets under the top before I cut it.

Way cool way to make a table top Ron.

Hey, careful with the elephants comments, I may be heavy, but I am also sensitive. ;)

nice circle trammel.  How does it lock in the diameter?  I don't see an knob to  fix the relationship of the arm on the center part.

Cliff, the pivot is a 5/16" bolt with the head cut off.  At the base of the threads is a washer that is ground to fit into a slot.  On top of the bolts is a wing not and washer to lock it all together.  To adjust it you just loosen the wing nut and slide the pin to the desired radius and lock it back down with the wing nut.

Nice video Ron. Never tried this way. Liked the trammel, simple but very effective.

I watched the video. Looks to me like your going around in circles.
